Product Information
General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Mebendazole boluses.
Mebendazole is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic effective against gastrointestinal nematodes (roundworms) and, depending on the dose, against some tapeworms as well. It is ineffective against flukes at the usual therapeutic dose and is completely ineffective against external parasites. Mebendazole is used scarcely in livestock, but more in pets and horses. This generic anthelmintic is commonly used and available worldwide, also in mixtures with other anthelmintics.
It is important to note that AdvaCare’s mebendazole are for veterinary purposes only, and although there are similar medications available for human use, you should only use the kind that has been prescribed by a veterinary doctor or animal care specialist for an animal.
Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of mebendazole. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.
In dogs, the most frequent adverse drug reactions at the therapeutic dose are vomit and diarrhea. Repeated or prolonged use increases its incidence. In birds, high doses of mebendazole can negatively influence reproduction. Therapeutic doses can disturb molting. Mebendazole should not be administered to sick or weak horses.
Mebendazole administration to animals with hepatic damage must be done with utmost care. Another major side effect of Mebendazole.
For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician.
If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.
