        Product Information

        General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Oxytetracycline boluses.

Also known as terramycin or liquamycin, Oxytetracycline bolus works as an antibiotic that hinders bacteria by crushing protein synthesis and growth in animals. It belongs to a general class of drugs known as tetracyclines.

Oxytetracycline works effectively against a broad range of bacteria and one-celled organisms, such as protozoa. It is active against bacteria that affect the eyes, bone, oral cavity, blood cells, respiratory tract, and sinuses.

It is important to note that AdvaCare’s Oxytetracycline Boluses are for veterinary purposes only, and while there are types available for human use, you should only use the kind that has been prescribed by a veterinary doctor or animal care specialist for an animal.

        Side Effects:
Side effects of oxytetracycline range from swelling of eyelids, muzzle, ears, anus, and vulva (or scrotum and sheath in males), restlessness, ataxia, trembling, respiratory abnormalities, frothing at the mouth, collapse and possibly death. For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician.

If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.

        Additional Information

Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist before using oxytetracycline for chicken or any other animal. If the condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call a veterinary physician or animal care specialist.

Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise, and complete the full treatment, as stopping early can result in a recurrence or worsen the problem.

Meanwhile, it is advised to make fresh solutions daily, and ensure you make use of drinking water and not liquid feed supplements.

Also, do not give the product with milk as it might decrease the animal’s ability to digest the drug. Dosages should be adjusted for animals on anticoagulants.

Consult with an animal care specialist about any other medications that are being taken by the animal, and their medical history, before their treatment with oxytetracycline boluses.
