Dosage
How much Activated Charcoal should be given to an animal?
The usual dosage is as follows:
- Below 5 pounds: about 1/4 bolus
- 5 – 12 pounds: about 1/2 bolus
- 12 – 25 pounds: about 1 bolus
- 25 – 50 pounds: about 2 boluses
- 50 – 100 pounds: about 3 boluses
- 100 – 150 pounds: about 4 boluses
- Over 150 pounds: about 8 boluses
Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise, and complete the full treatment, as stopping early can result in a recurrence or worsen the problem.
Side Effects
