Triamcinolone Acetonide injection is a corticosteroid drug used to treat inflammatory conditions. It's indicated in the treatment of allergic disorders, arthritis, blood diseases, breathing problems, certain cancers, eye diseases, intestinal disorders, collagen, and skin diseases.

How are Triamcinolone Acetonide Injections used?

This medication has been manufactured as a solution intended to be given by injection into a joint or into a muscle. It should be administered by a healthcare professional in a hospital or clinic setting.

What dose should be given?

For corticosteroid-responsive conditions, the usual dose for adults is 40-80mg IM, given once. The lowest effective dosage should be administered.

For allergic reactions and conditions, the usual dose for adults is 40-100mg IM, given once. Use the lowest effective dosage for the treatment of hay fever or pollen asthma.

The exact dosage is dependent on medical condition, response to the treatment, age, and weight. Refer to a doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage.

Side Effects

Precautions
