Sisomicin sulfate injections are a sterile solution of sisomicin sulfate in water for injection.
Sisomicin sulfate injection is a gentamycin-like aminoglycoside antibiotic, having the most active aminoglycoside against gram-positive bacteria and gram-negative bacteria.
Sisomicin sulfate injection is commonly used to treat infections caused by malignant diseases. It is also effective against most strains Klebsiella spp., Escherichia coli, P. aeruginosa, Enterobacter and Proteus spp.
Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of sisomicin sulfate injection. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use.
Common side effects include, but may not be limited to redness and pain at the site of injection, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, dizziness. Seek medical attention if the following develop: signs of an allergic reaction such as swollen lips, hives, difficulty breathing, rashes. Ringing sensation in ears, hearing loss, confusion and hallucination, lethargy, convulsions.
