General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Ribavirin tablets.
Ribavirin Tablets are an aerosol antiviral drug. Ribavirin is prescribed for the treatment of severe respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections of the lower respiratory tract in infants and small children. Ribavirin is used with another medication called an interferon to treat chronic hepatitis C. Ribavirin is in a class of antiviral medications called nucleoside analogues. It works by stopping the virus that causes hepatitis C from spreading inside the body.
Store ribavirin tablets at room temperature between 15 degrees C and 30 degrees C. Keep the tablets away from light, heat, and moisture and keep them out of the reach of children.
Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of ribavirin.
Seek medical attention if the following develop:
- Unusual tiredness or weakness;
- Fast or irregular heartbeat;
- Muscle pain;
- Vision changes;
- Easy bleeding;
- Dark urine;
- Yellowing of eyes or skin.

Do NOT use ribavirin tablet if:
- You are allergic to any ingredient in ribavirin;
- You or your sexual partner are or may be pregnant;
- You have a certain types of heart disease.
Use of ribavirin during pregnancy is forbidden, as it may cause birth defects and/or death in unborn babies. Since there are no data on the excretion of ribavirin into human milk, so a decision should be made during breastfeeding to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug. Consult your doctor or health care professional before taking ribavirin.
