        Product Information

        General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of pregabalin capsules.

Pregabalin is an antiepileptic/anticonvulsant agent. Its mechanism of action is not fully understood but it is thought to act by binding to the calcium channels.

Pregabalin binds to the calcium channels found on nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. By this binding, it reduces the release of various neurotransmitters which are involved in transmitting messages between the nerve cells of the brain and spinal cord.

Pregabalin reduces the release of glutamate, substance P and noradrenaline all which are neurotransmitters.

The neurotransmitter (glutamate) act as a ‘’nerve exciting’’ agent; substance P, noradrenaline and glutamate are involved in sending pain signals to the higher centers (brain).

As pregabalin curtails the actions of these body chemicals, nerve pain occurring as a result of damage or disturbance is relieved. This is why pregabalin is used in treating anxiety disorders, pains and other conditions involving the body chemicals mentioned earlier.

Pregabalin is not highly metabolized but its metabolism occurs by methylation in very small amounts.

Pregabalin is excreted via the renal system (mostly unchanged). It passes through the urine unchanged.

        Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceutical medicines, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of pregabalin capsules.

Always consult a physician for medical advice before use.

Common side effects may include sleepiness, weight gain, dizziness, blurry vision, dry mouth, sweating in hands and feet and possible concentration troubles.

Serious side effects may include thoughts of suicide, panic attacks, serious allergic reactions, heart problems, and insomnia.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult your doctor.

If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptoms, then please call your doctor immediately.
