Epinephrine (Adrenaline) Injection is used as an emergency treatment for severe allergic reactions to food, insect bites, and other substances. This drug is also used to treat anaphylaxis caused by allergic reactions or exercise, hypotension, septic shock, and cardiac arrest when the heart is not beating.

Adrenaline is classified as an alpha- and beta-adrenergic agonist or a sympathomimetic agent. It opens up airways and makes breathing easier for those with asthma. In the body, epinephrine is produced by the adrenal glands and neurons.
