What is Toltrazuril?
Active Ingredients: Toltrazuril
Toltrazuril Oral Solution is an anticoccidial drug that is used to prevent or treat coccidiosis in animals such as chickens, turkeys, sheep, and cows. It also helps reduce coccidian shedding caused by E. bovis. or E. zuernii. Toltrazuril is sometimes used to treat isosporiasis and hepatozoonosis.
Toltrazuril is an antiprotozoal agent that is a derivative of triazinetrione. It works by causing damage at the cellular level of all stages of Eimeria (coccidia), including E. acervulina, brunetti, maxima, mitis, necatrix and tenella in poultry. It's effective against E. adenoides, galloparonis and meleagridis in turkeys. Toltrazuril also shows activity against schizonts and micro-and macrogametes.
