Enrofloxacin + Bromhexine HCL Oral Solution is a combination drug used to treat certain bacterial infections and control coughing in poultry. It is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections that are present with sputum, including bronchitis, emphysema, and silicosis.
This medication combines two active ingredients, an antibiotic and a mucolytic agent.
Enrofloxacin belongs to the family of medicines called fluoroquinolone antibiotics. It works by inhibiting DNA and RNA synthesis. Enrofloxacin displays bactericidal activity against a wide range of bacteria, including Staphylococcus, Escherichia coli, Proteus, and Klebsiella.
Bromhexine is classified as a mucolytic. It works by breaking down mucus.
