What is Albendazole + Oxyclozanide?
Active Ingredients: Albendazole, Oxyclozanide
Albendazole + Oxyclozanide Oral Suspension is an anthelmintic drug used for treating and controlling parasitic infections due to roundworms, lungworms, tapeworms, amphistomes, and liver flukes in cows, goats, sheep and pigs. It's also used for the control of Fascioliasis and Paramphistomiasis and effective against moniezia tapeworm segments.
The combination of Albendazole and Oxyclozanide is an effective treatment for both adult and larval stages.
Albendazole belongs to the drug class called benzimidazole anthelmintics. It exhibits broad-spectrum action against many varieties of worms, such as roundworms, tapeworms, and flukes of domestic animals and humans. The active ingredient works by inhibiting tubulin polymerization. As an effect, the worm's ability to utilize glucose is impaired, which results in immobilization and death.
Oxyclozanide is a salicylanilide anthelmintic. It works by uncoupling oxidative phosphorylation. This drug is used primarily to control fascioliasis in ruminants.
It is important to note that Albendazole + Oxyclozanide Oral Suspension is for veterinary purposes only. This formulation is intended to be prescribed by a veterinary doctor or animal care specialist for an animal.
