        General Information:
        AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Azithromycin capsules.

        Azithromycin capsules are a macrolide antibiotic. Azithromycin capsule contains azithromycin, an azalide and a subclass of macrolide antibiotics. It fights bacteria in the body and is used to treat many different types of bacterial infections including pneumonia, middle ear infections, strep throat, traveler’s diarrhea and other intestinal infections, and sexual transmitted infections (STDs) such as chlamydia and gonorrhea.

        Avoid taking an antacid within 2 hours before or after taking azithromycin.

        Side Effects:
        As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of azithromycin capsule. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use. Common side effects include, but may not be limited to mild diarrhea, stomach pain and dizziness, itching, mild loss of appetite, mild fever, and sleep problem.

        Seek medical attention if the following develop: watery or bloody diarrhea, hives, difficulty breathing, pounding or fast heartbeats, nausea, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, and unusually severe body reaction.

        Do NOT use azithromycin capsule if:

        • You have ever had jaundice or liver problems caused by taking azithromycin;
        • You are allergic to azithromycin or to similar drugs such as erythromycin, clarithromycin, telithromycin, or troleandomycin.

        There is little evidence with regards to the use of azithromycin capsule during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so consult your doctor or health care professional before administering nikethamide injection. Keep eyes on the breastfed infant for possible effects on the gastrointestinal flora, such as diarrhea, candidiasis. Consult your doctor or health care professional before taking azithromycin capsule.

        Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise.

        Usual dose for adults is: 250 to 500mg. Children weighing less than 45kg recommend not to take 250mg.

        There may be an interaction between azithromycin and any of the following: alfuzosin, amantadine, amiodarone, anagrelide, atazanavir, antihistamines (e.g., cetirizine, doxylamine, diphenhydramine, hydroxyzine, loratadine); antipsychotics (e.g., chlorpromazine, clozapine, haloperidol, olanzapine, quetiapine, risperidone). Make sure to share a list of the products you are using or taking with your doctor or pharmacist. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with azithromycin capsules.
