What is Azithromycin used for?
It's used to treat some types of bacterial infection, such as:
- pneumonia

- community-acquired pneumonia (CAP)

- disseminated Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) infection

How is Azithromycin for Oral Suspension used?
This medication has been manufactured as a powder, which must be mixed in water before oral consumption.
After reconstitution, it is best to refrigerate (between 2°C and 8°C) the suspension to ensure its potency. It should remain stable for up to 10 days in ideal conditions.
Azithromycin for Oral Suspension should be stored in a dry and cool environment between 15°C and 30°C. It should be stored in a dry and cool environment.
What dose should be given?
For general bacterial infections, the usual dose for adults is 500mg per day for 3 days.

Precautions
