Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist before using diclazuril oral suspension. If the condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call a veterinary physician or animal care specialist.
Indications and Usage
Diclazuril oral suspension is indicated in the treatment and prevention of coccidial infections in lambs caused by Eimeria crandallis or Eimeria ovinoidalis and in calves caused by Eimeria bovis or Eimeria zuernii.
Diclazuril is effective in the prevention and treatment of coccidial infections in poultry caused by Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. mitis (mivati), and E. maxima.
Studies have shown that diclazuril helps in reducing lesion scores and improve the performance and health of birds challenged with E. maxima.
Do not use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.
Administration and Dosage
Do not administer doses greater than 1ml/25kg of body weight in calves and lambs and 0.002ml/kg of body weight in rabbit, similarly administer doses greater than 30-67ml/1000 liters of drinking water for three days in 6 weeks in poultry. Diclazuril oral suspension shouldn’t be administered if any hypersensitivity is discovered.
Oral administration via feed or drinking water is recommended. Shake well before use. Treating of all the animals at the same time is recommended.
Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed the dosage or stop the treatment at an early stage, as stopping early can result in a recurrence or a worsening of the problem.
Undergoing the same therapy might lead to resistance, therefore, rotation among other anticoccidials treatments is recommended. Whenever the suspension is mixed with feed, the product should be used immediately. Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.
No special warnings.
