Product Information
General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Krill Oil softgels.
Krill oil is derived from krill, a small shrimp-like animal. It contains fatty acids similar to those in fish oil which decrease inflammation, lower cholesterol, and decrease the chance of blood clots to form. Krill oil contains DHA and EPA, essential fatty acids, and phospholipids and astaxanthin. Omega-3 in krill oil is bound to phospholipids, making it easier for the intestines to absorb than fish oil where omega-3 is bound to triglycerides. Since krill has a lower lifespan, they are less likely to have been exposed to oceanic toxins. Astaxanthin in krill oil defends the cells against harmful oxidant. It allows the exchange of nutrients from the blood to the brain thereby it provides more energy, more mental focus.
Krill oil helps in sustaining a healthy cholesterol level, maintain healthy inflammatory pathways, and promotes healthy joints. For cognitive health, krill oil helps to prevent stroke and to uphold brain health regarding concentration, memory, and learning. Krill oil also benefits the heart and blood by lowering high blood pressure or high levels of certain blood fats (triglycerides), maintaining healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels, and preventing against heart disease. Regarding joint health, krill oil helps treat osteoarthritis and improve joint lubrication and overall bone function. Other wide-ranging benefits of krill oil include an easing of pre-menstrual distress including cramps, fluid retention, and mood swings for females.
Keep krill oil in a cool, dry place. Ask your doctor before use if any of the following apply: pregnant, nursing, diabetes, liver disease, pancreas disorder, blood clotting disorder or risk of stroke, or underactive thyroid. Krill oil should not be used in patients with a fish or shrimp allergy, or probably any other type of seafood. Tests for susceptibility to allergic reactions to krill oil have not been completed.
