Do not take orlistat capsule if:
- You are allergic to its active ingredients;
- You have any other allergies;
- You haven’t informed your doctor of your medical conditions like a kidneystone, HIV status, and other systemic diseases.

Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed the advisable dosage. The usual dose for adults is 60mg or 120mg taken with each of your three main meals of the day. The usual dose for children is 60mg a day depending on age and body weight. Children under the age of 12 are not eligible to take orlistat capsule.
Possible interactions with orlistat capsules include blood thinners like warfarin, HIV medications, medications that treat seizures and some other fat-soluble vitamin supplements. Orlistat capsules should not be taken with alcohol. Consult your doctor about any medications you are taking before your treatment with orlistat capsules.
Orlistat is contraindicated if:
- You have kidney or liver impairments;
- You have chronic malabsorption syndrome;
- You are allergic to the medicine;
- You are taking other herbal or complement supplements without your doctor’s approval.
Taking more medicines may cause poisoning and serious side effects. Please call the emergency department if you suspect orlistat capsule overdose.
