Decongestant (Anti-Cough) syrup is a medication used to temporarily treat cough, chest congestion, and stuffy nose symptoms. They can be caused by the common cold, flu, allergies, hay fever or other ilnesses connected with breathing.
Our Decongestant (Anti-Cough) syrup formula is a combination of carefully selected ingredients, which support recovery after mild diseases such as common cold, as well as menthol that ads enjoyable flavour to the medicine:
- Ammonium Chloride: Works as an expectorant in the medicine. Its expectorant action, caused by irritative action on the bronchial mucosa, causes the production of excess respiratory tract fluid and makes it easier for a person to cough.
- Sodium Citrate: Helps thins and loosen mucus, making the cough easier.
- Chlorpheniramine Maleate: As an antihistamine this element helps relieve symptoms of allergy, hay fever and common cold.
- Menthol: Provides relief from nasal congestion by causing a cool sensation in the nose and also relieves the symptoms of sore throats and coughs by a local anaesthetic action.
