As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of Chloroquine Phosphate Injection. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use. Seek medical attention if the following develop: black or tarry stools, bleeding gums, peeling or loosening of the skin, blurred vision, chest pain, confusion, dizziness, fever, fast heartbeat.

Use of Chloroquine Phosphate Injection during pregnancy or breast feeding is to be avoided. Consult your doctor or health care professional before having Chloroquine Phosphate.

Possible interaction may occur if you are taking astemizole, terfenadine, cimetidine, cisapride, quinacrine or dofetilide. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with chloroquine phosphate injection.
