Specimen

For this test, it is advised to collect fresh whole blood or to separate serum/plasma from the blood as soon as possible in order to prevent hemolysis.

If testing right after collection is not feasible, the specimen ought to be refrigerated at a temperature ranging from 2 to 8 °C.

Using a capillary tube or dropper, the sample should be placed onto the designated spot on the cassette. Subsequently, the appropriate amount of the provided buffer dilution should be added to the cassette to initiate the test.

Form

Cassette consists of a plastic case that contains a test strip inside. It has an area for sample placement and a window in which the lines will be displayed as a positive, negative, or invalid test result.
