Specimen

A cat's feces or vomit specimen should be collected using the cotton swab, which is provided in a sterile blister pack. To ensure an accurate test outcome, it is important to moisten the swab sufficiently.

The cotton swab has to be placed in a buffer dilution immediately after the sample has been collected. In order to continue with the test, it is necessary to administer the drops of buffer dilution onto a specified region located on the test cassette.

Form

The Cassette is structured as a plastic box containing the test strip. It provides a specific area for sample placement and incorporates a see-through window to display the test lines, signifying positive, negative, or invalid test findings.

The immunochromatographic assay-based test strip inside of the cassette is used for detecting feline panleukopenia virus (FPV) antigens in feline species.
