Specimen

The dog's ocular, nasal or saliva secretions should be collected using the cotton swab, which is enclosed in a sterile blister pack. For a valid test result, the swab should be sufficiently wetted.

After the sample has been collected, the cotton swab has to be placed in a buffer dilution immediately. In order to proceed with the test, a few drops of buffer dilution are to be introduced to the assigned area of the cassette.
