        Product Information

        General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Florfenicol premixes.

Florfenicol Premix treats bovine respiratory disease (BRD) from Mannheimia haemolytica, Histophilus somni, and Pasteurella multocida. It also treats primary and secondary colibacillosis in flocks. In catish, it may control enteric septicemia. Florfenicol works by binding to the ribosome in the animals, preventing bacteria from growing.

Florfenicol is a derivative of thiamphenicol. It is significantly more active in vitro than chloramphenicol against many different strains of bacteria. It is a better alternative to chloramphenicol, which can cause blood dyscrasias and is prohibited for use in food-producing animals in many different countries.

Don’t use on animals intending to breed or on animals with a known allergy to florfenicol.

        Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of florfenicol premixes. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.

Side effects include but are not limited to a residue in eggs from laying hens treated with Florfenicol, diarrhea.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician.

If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.

        Additional Information

Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist before using florfenicol premixes.

If the condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call a veterinary physician or animal care specialist.

Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise, and complete the full treatment, as stopping early can result in a recurrence or a worsening of the problem.

The side effect of diarrhea in treated horses may lead to lethal cases of acute colitis.

Consult with an animal care specialist about any other medications that are being taken by the animal, and their medical history, before their treatment with florfenicol premixes.
