Product Information
General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Doxycycline Soluble Powder.
Doxycycline Soluble Powder is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It is a tetracycline used to fight bacterial infections such as leptospirosis, toxoplasmosis, psittacosis, and tick-borne diseases such as Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. It does so by binding to ribosomes in the bacteria and inhibiting protein synthesis so the bacteria cannot reproduce.
Doxycycline binds to the ribosomes of bacteria and inhibits protein synthesis so that the bacteria cannot reproduce. This process is not very rapid and so doxycycline is generally used as a long-term treatment.
Use caution when administering to young animals, pregnant or lactating animals, or animals with liver disease. Do not brush the animal’s teeth within 2 weeks of treatment.
