        Product Information

        General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Compound Cefradine Powder for Injections.

Compound Cefradine Powder for Injection is a cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of infections in the urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues, bones, and joints. It treats upper and lower respiratory infections such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, acute and chronic bronchitis, and bronchopneumonia. It can also treat septicemia and endocarditis.

Cephalosporins such as Cefradine are fairly similar to Penicillins, though Cephalosporins are more stable to pH and temperature changes. Cefradine is a first-generation Cephalosporin which is very active against gram-positive bacteria and moderately active against gram-negative bacteria. Cephalosporins are derived from a 7-aminocephalosporanic acid and contain a β-lactam nucleus. β-lactamases may also target penicillins.

        Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of Cefradine. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.

Side effects include but are not limited to diarrhea, fever, chills, unusual bleeding, and increased thirst.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician.

Persistence or worsening with similar symptoms will require an immediate Veterinary treatment.

        Additional Information

Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist before using Cefradine.

If the condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call a veterinary physician or animal care specialist.

Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed the advisable dosage until the treatment is completed; Discontinuation or ending at an early stage can result in a recurrence or a worsening of the problem.
