        Product Information

        General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Ciprofloxacin liquid injection.

Ciprofloxacin injection is a broad spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic which kills bacteria and hence, prevents infections.

Administered to a variety of animal species and is used to treat a range of infections. Most commonly, ciprofloxacin is used to treat cats and dogs with lower respiratory tract infections, skin infections, and urinary tract infections.

It is important to note that AdvaCare’s ciprofloxacin liquid injection is for veterinary purposes only, and while there are types available for human use, you should only use the kind that has been prescribed by a veterinary doctor or animal care specialist.

        Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of ciprofloxacin. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.

        Side effects include:

Damage to joint cartilage, swollen joints and lameness are clinical signs that may be observed. Ciprofloxacin may result in loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, convulsions, seizures in pets with CNS disorders, and cataracts if given long-term.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician.

If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.

        Additional Information

Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist before using ciprofloxacin.

If the condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call a veterinary physician or animal care specialist.

Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise, and complete the full treatment. Early termination may result in a recurrence or worsening of the problem. Usual dosage is as follows:

        Dogs
10 to 12mg per pound, per day (20 to 25 mg/kg per day) orally.
The total daily dose should be administered every 12 hours (AM/PM).
        Cats
10 to 12.5mg per pound (20 to 25mg/kg) orally or intravenously once daily. The total daily dosage can also be administered every 12 hours (AM/PM).

Consult with an animal care specialist about any other medications that are being taken by the animal, and their medical history, before their treatment with ciprofloxacin liquid injection.
