General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Ceftiofur Sodium powder for injections.
Ceftiofur Sodium Powder for Injection is a cephalosporin antibiotic used against gram positive and negative bacteria such as the β-lactamase-producing strains.
It uses a broad range of in vitro activity to fight a variety of pathogens, including Streptococcus, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, E.coli, and Salmonella. Ceftiofur works by inhibiting cell wall synthesis in the bacteria.
It can treat Manheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida; two pathogens associated with bovine respiratory diseases such as pneumonia and shipping fever. It has excellent in vitro and in vivo activity towards those two diseases. It can also treat foot rot and pododermatitis in cattle and it can treat respiratory disease in horses.
Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of Ceftiofur Sodium. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.
Side effects may include but are not limited to immediate local pain at the injection site, stress, diarrhea, and reverse thrombocytopenia and anemia when used for prolonged periods.

Do not use on animals intended for breeding or suckling foals less than 6 months of age. Should be treated with cautiousness under the process of dog breeding along with lactation among the neonatal animals. Treated swine and lamb shouldn’t be slaughtered for food for at least 24 hours after treatment.
