Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Gingko Biloba softgels.

Gingko Biloba extract is derived from the Chinese (maidenhair) tree, a large tree with leaves shaped like fans. It is traditionally used in Chinese medicine for cardiovascular and cognitive benefits.

Gingko Biloba contains flavonoids and terpenoids that are strong antioxidants that combat age-related conditions. Flavonoids protect the nerves, heart, blood vessels, and eyes from damage while terpenoids improve blood flow.

Ginkgo Biloba offers several cognitive benefits. It is believed to increase concentration and reduce the risk of Dementia and Alzheimer’s. It also fights anxiety and depression by counteracting stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. It improves cognitive performance and memory in the young and old alike.

Ginkgo Biloba offers reproductive benefits by fighting the symptoms of PMS, such as mood swings, anxiety, headaches, and muscle pain. It can treat sexual performance problems and improve blood flow to the genitals. The extract also maintains eye health by improving blood flower to the eyes and lowering UV damage or oxidative stress. It can treat eye-related disorders such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and age-related macular degeneration. It treats respiratory problems such as bronchitis and asthma, nervous system disorders such as fibromyalgia, and skin disorders such as hemorrhoids.

Ginkgo Biloba also eases leg pain by improving blood flow in clogged arteries. Other traditional uses have included soothing bladder irritation and treating gonorrhea.

Those with blood circulation disorders or who are taking anticoagulants should consult a doctor prior to use. Those taking serotonin reuptake inhibitors or antidepressants should not take ginkgo as it reduces the effectiveness of the medication and increases the risk of serotonin syndrome.

Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, headaches, stomach ache, vomiting, and restlessness.
