        General Information:
        AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Xylometazoline nasal spray.

        Xylometazoline nasal spray is a decongestant that reduces the swollen blood vessels, caused by various conditions including common cold, sinusitis, hay fever and allergies, to normal sizes. This results in the relief from congestion which improves breathing ability through the nasal airways.

        Side Effects:
        As with all pharmaceutical medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use xylometazoline nasal spray. Always consult a physician for medical advice before use.

        Common xylometazoline side effects may include: skin rash, itching, shortness of breath, wheezing and/or swollen face, irregular heartbeat, dizziness, nausea, headache, irritability, sleep disturbance, restlessness, unusual sweating.

        Indications and Usage

        To use xylometazoline nasal spray: blow your nose gently, keep your head in a upright position and insert the tip of the bottle into one nostril per time (press your other nostril closed with your finger). Breathe in quickly and spray the medicine into your nose. Then do the same for other nostril.

        Try not to blow your nose for few minutes after using xylometazoline nasal spray.

        Do not use the xylometazoline nasal spray more than 3 times per day, every 8 to 10 hours, and in order to avoid the spread of infections, do not share the nasal spray bottle with others.

        Precautions

        Do not take xylometazoline nasal spray if:

        • You have allergy to xylometazoline or any nasal decongestant drugs;
        • You will be having certain types of surgery, such as surgery to remove your pituitary gland;
        • You have eye problems such as narrow-angle glaucoma or cataracts;
        • You have certain nose problem called rhinitis sicca, or atrophic rhinitis.

        Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Xylometazoline nasal spray should be used only if benefits overweight risks.

        Administration and Dosage

        Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. The recommended dose to treat allergic reactions of the nose is 1-2 spray in each nostril thrice daily. Xylometazoline nasal spray is usually used every 8-10 hours as needed, but not more often than twice in a 24-hour period.

        Consult with your doctor about medications you are taking or existing medical conditions you have before your treatment with xylometazoline nasal spray.

        Overdose

        Symptoms of overdose include drowsiness or sleepiness. These symptoms have to be reported to the medical health professional.
