General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Valsartan Tablets.

This medication is an angiotensin 11 receptor blocker (ARBs). It works by blocking the effects of angiotensin. This action makes the blood vessels to relax.

This antihypertensive agent also allows your kidney to get rid of extra water and salt. These action aids in lowering your blood pressure.

Valsartan is majorly excreted through feces, with about 13% being excreted in the urine.

Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceutical medications, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of valsartan tablets.

Indications and Usage

The usual dose for adults is 80–160mg taken once per day. The maximum dosage range for a day is 80–320mg.

The usual dose for children aged 6–16 years is 40mg taken once per day depending on age and body weight.

Maximum dosage for children is 40–160mg taken within a day.

It is not for children younger than 6 years.

Interactions

Possible interactions with valsartan tablets include blood pressure drugs, potassium supplements, certain diuretics, mood stabilizers, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, and certain herbs.

Valsartan tablets should not be taken with alcohol. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with valsartan tablets.

Overdose

Taking more medicines may cause poisoning and severe side effects. Please call the emergency department if you suspect valsartan tablets overdose.

Precautions and Adverse Reactions

Do NOT take valsartan if:

  • You are at any risk of low blood pressure;
  • You have high blood potassium levels;
  • You are going to drive or undertake other dangerous tasks;
  • You have kidney damage;
