This medication has been manufactured as a liquid to be taken orally. The suspension should be shaken before use.

What dose should be taken?

For mild-moderate infections in children over 2 months old, the usual dose is 8-12mg/kg (Trimethoprim), divided and given every 6-12 hours. The duration of treatment is 7-14 days.

For mild-moderate infections in adults, the usual dose is 160mg (Trimethoprim), given twice per day.
