General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Sodium Chloride infusion.
Sodium chloride infusion is a sterile non-pyrogenic solution used intravenously as a rehydration therapy as an electrolyte replenishment. The solution is used to supply water and salt (sodium chloride) to the body. Sometimes, sodium chloride may be mixed with other medications given by injection in the vein. It contains no anti-microbial agents.
The nominal ph is 5.5 and the composition, osmolarity and ionic concentration are: 9 g/L sodium chloride (sodium chloride (sodium chloride injection) injection), (NaCl) with an osmolarity of 308 mOsmol/L (calc). It contains 154 mEq/L sodium and 154 mEq/L chloride.
Treatment should be initiated only by physicians.
Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals some unwanted effects can occur from the use of Sodium Chloride infusion. Always consult a doctor or healthcare professional for medical advice before use.
Common side effects: include swelling hands/ankles/feet, trouble breathing, muscle cramps/weakness.

Sodium chloride is not recommended for the treatment of infections due to inadequate efficacy.
