Ranitidine HCL is a drug called histamine-2 blockers. It is a histamine that inhibits stomach acid production. Ranitidine hcl also treats conditions in which the stomach produces too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome. ranitidine hcl is also used alongside fexofenadine and other antihistamines for the treatment of skin conditions such as hives.
ranitidine hydrochloride treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease (PUD) and other conditions in which acid backs up from the stomach into the esophagus, causing heartburn.

Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. The usual dose for adults is: 150mg. The usual dose for children is: 2 to 4mg.
Possible interactions with ranitidine HCL capsules are certain antibiotics such as cobicistat and atazanavir. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with ranitidine HCL capsules.
