General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Etodolac Tablets.
Prostaglandin causes inflammation and pain. This medication acts by reducing the production of prostaglandin. This effect reduces swelling, inflammation, pain, and fever.
Prostaglandin is a potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
Etodolac is extensively metabolized in the liver and excreted in urine. About 16% is excreted in feces.
Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceutical medicines, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of etodolac tablets.
Always consult a physician for medical advice before use.
Common side effects may include dizziness, gas, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, headache, and ulcers.
More severe side effects may include stroke or heart attack, kidney damage, heart failure, stomach problems, liver problems, skin reactions, and severe allergic reactions.

Indications and Usage
Etodolac treats short-term pain, long-term joint pain, and inflammation in various kinds of arthritis.
Etodolac is used to treat osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, short-term pain and long-term pain due to the conditions mentioned above.
Administration and Dosage
Use of etodolac tablets during pregnancy or breastfeeding appears to be harmful. Consult your doctor or healthcare professional before taking etodolac.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed the advisable dosage. The usual dose for adults is 200 – 400mg taken every 6 to 8 hours as needed.
It is not for children younger than 18years.
Interactions
Possible interactions with etodolac include arrhythmia drugs, blood pressure drugs, diuretics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, blood thinners, disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs, bipolar disorder drugs, transplant drugs, and some herbs.
Etodolac tablets should not be taken with alcohol. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with etodolac tablets.
Overdose
Taking more Etodolac tablets may cause poisoning and serious side effects. Please call the emergency department if you suspect etodolac tablets overdose.
Adverse Reactions and Precautions
Do NOT take etodolac if:
- You are at risk of blood clot, heart attack, stroke, heart failure, and other cardiac problems
- You have severe stomach problems like bleeding and peptic ulcer
- You have kidney or liver problems
- You are asthmatic
- You have uncontrolled hypertension
- You have not consulted with your doctor
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
