General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Ethambutol HCL capsules.
Ethambutol HCL capsules are a chemotherapeutic agent used against microorganisms in the genus mycobacteria. It impairs cell metabolism and interferes with cell wall synthesis. It is most commonly used to treat tuberculosis, an infection primarily in the lungs. It is often used in combination with other anti-tubercular drugs such as isoniazid.
This product is GMP certified.

As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of ethambutol HCL. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use.
Common side effects include, but may not be limited to headaches, loss of appetite, upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dizziness, worsening gout, or joint pain.
Seek medical attention if the following develop: an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, closing of the throat, swelling of the lips, tongue, or face, or hives), vision changes (e.g., blurring, red-green color blindness), a rash, numbness or tingling in your fingers, toes, hands, or feet, confusion, disorientation, or hallucinations, or fever.

Driving or operating machinery should be avoided, as ethambutol hydrochloride capsules may cause visual disturbances that can impair your ability to drive and to use machines.
Do NOT use ethambutol hydrochloride if:
- You are allergic to it;
- You have an inflammation of the optic nerve (optic neuritis).
There is little evidence with regards to the use of ethambutol HCL during pregnancy or breast feeding, and so consult your doctor or health care professional before taking ethambutol hydrochloride.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. The usual dose for adults is: based on weight and condition. The usual dose for children is: children over the age of 13 based on weight and condition.
Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with ethambutol HCL.
