This combination drug is used to treat malaria in individuals with suspected or confirmed infection, and for prevention of infection in individuals with no immunity to malaria who are visiting a malaria-endemic region.

Dihydroartemisinin is a derivative of artemisinin that has been added to Piperaquine, which is used as a prophylaxis. The combination is effective against malaria infections caused by P. Falciparum and P. vivax.

Precautions

You are using carbamazepine, efavirenz, enzalutamide, hydantoins, mefloquine, nevirapine, phenobarbital, primidone, rifamycins.
You are taking hormonal birth control.
