General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Compound Amino Acid infusion.
Compound amino acid infusion is used as a source of protein and nitrogen. This medication is used for patients who are unable to eat properly due to illness or surgery.
It is a non-pyrogenic hypertonic solution of essential and nonessential amino acids. Each 250 mL unit provides recommended daily intake of essential amino acids plus 625 mg of histidine, considered essential for uremic.
The total nitrogen content of a 250 mL unit is approximately 1.6 grams (10 g of protein equivalent) in 14 grams of amino acids.
Treatment should be initiated only by physicians.
Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of compound amino acid infusion. Always consult a doctor or healthcare professional for medical advice before use.
Common side effects include shortness of breath, sudden weight gain, fever, chills, yellowing of the skin or eyes, darkening of the urine, nausea, flushing of the skin, weakness.
