Bacitracin (compound) ointment is used to prevent minor skin infections caused by small cuts, scrapes, or burns. Bacitracin works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria. It belongs to a class of drugs known as antibiotics.
Bacitracin ointment only prevents bacterial infections.
Neomycin and polymyxin B, is a combination of antibiotic and cortisone-like medicine. It is used to treat infections of the ear canal and to help provide relief from redness, irritation and discomfort of certain ear problems.
