What is Antacid Oral Suspension?
Active Ingredients: Aluminum Hydroxide, Magnesium Hydroxide, Simethicone
Antacid Oral Suspension is used to relieve the symptoms caused by too much stomach acid, like upset stomach or acid indigestion. It's also used to relieve symptoms of extra gas or discomfort in the gut. Antacids in liquid forms, such as syrups, work faster and more efficiently than tablets or capsules.
The oral suspension formulas are a combination of carefully selected ingredients to help relieve these symptoms. It should be noted this medication does not prevent the production of excess acid in the stomach.

- Aluminum Hydroxide: A mineral that reduces stomach acid by reacting with hydrochloric acid.
- Magnesium Hydroxide: A mineral that neutralizes stomach acid by producing magnesium chloride within the stomach. It also increases water in the intestines, which may relieve constipation.

Uses
What is Antacid Oral Suspension used for?
It's used to relieve symptoms associated with too much stomach acid, such as indigestion, heartburn, and dyspepsia.
How is Antacid Oral Suspension used?
This medication has been manufactured as a liquid to be taken orally. Antacid Oral Suspension should be shaken well before use. If necessary, this syrup may be diluted with some water.
What dose should be taken?
The usual dose is as follows:
- For adults and children over 12 years old: 10-40ml, taken up to 3 times a day.
- For children between 5 to 12 years old: 5-10ml, taken up to three times a day.
Refer to a doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed the advisable dosage. The dosage is based on medical condition, response to the treatment, age, and weight.
Side Effects
