What is Irinotecan used for?

How should Irinotecan Injection be used?

This medication has been manufactured as a liquid solution, which is to be given by injection into a vein. It should only be administered by a doctor or healthcare provider.

What dose should be given?

As monotherapy for colorectal cancer, the usual regimen is 125/m² given by infusion over 90 minutes. It is administered on days 1, 8, 15, 22 followed by 2 weeks no treatment. The cycle should then be repeated.

The usual dose for adults and children is dependent on the type of cancer, its cycle, and other general factors. Refer to a doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise.
