Product Information
AdvaCare is a CE, ISO and USFDA manufacturer of Eye Pads.
StayGuard brand of eye pads, including a wide variety of sizes and features, is internationally distributed and recognized for reliable quality and exceptional value. With distribution across developed and developing markets alike, our products are uniquely positioned as the brand of choice for medical professionals.
AdvaCare’s eye pads are sterile and non-adhesive, particularly suitable for the prophylaxis and eye treatment. The eye pad is specially designed with an anatomical shape that allows an easy and correct application. Our pads are made of special cellulose fibers which ensure maximum protection, high absorption, and comfort for the patient.
Besides, our pads are specially designed to allow skin perspiration around the eye region by preventing the formation of sweat around the wound. The edges are neatly and tightly sealed along the whole circumference of the pad, thus avoiding the leakage of exudate. Advacare’s eye pads are GMP, ISO, CE and USFDA approved.

BENEFITS OF EYE PADS
- Eye pads assist the healing process following trauma such as Corneal Abrasion;
- Eye pads protect the eye following surgery and procedures that require corneal anaesthesia.
USAGE
It is important to remind the patient to avoid to open the affected eye under the pad. In the unfortunate event that the eyelids do not close naturally over the cornea, it will be necessary, before padding, to tape the eyelids close.
- Carefully apply a piece of adhesive tape, roughly 15 centimeters long, to the eyepad;
- Ask the patient to close both eyes;
- Slowly position the eye pad diagonally over the closed lids of the affected eye and tape firmly, but gently, to the forehead and cheek;
- Slowly and carefully apply a second and third piece of tape to ensure the pad lied flat;
- Extra protection can be given by taping a shield over the pad in the same way.
PRECAUTIONS
- Always wash your hands before and after the medical procedure;
- Make sure the patient is positioned comfortably with head supported;
- Ensure lighting is good before starting the procedure.
