It is indicated for the treatment of many types of bacterial infections, such as salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, enteritis, mastitis, and respiratory infections.

This combination drug contains two types of antibiotics, an analgesic/antipyretic agent, and two corticosteroids.

The two antibiotics display a broad spectrum of activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Diplococcus pneumoniae, and Escherichia coli. Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the family called tetracyclines. It works by inhibiting protein synthesis in the bacteria.
