General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of benzathine penicillin + procaine penicillin powder for injection.
Benzathine penicillin + procaine penicillin powder for injection is used in the treatment of diseases caused by the organisms that are sensitive to a penicillin (intramuscularly). It is used to treat many different types of severe infections.
It is used to treat the following conditions in the following animals:
Cattle and calves: treat shipping fever syndrome, wound infections, foot and navel infections, bronchitis and tracheitis.
Swine: treats mastitis, wound infections, bronchitis, and tracheitis.
Horses: treats shipping fever syndrome, strangles, bronchitis, tracheitis.
Dogs, cats, rabbits, mink, fox: treats otitis externa, bronchitis, tracheitis.
Milk taken from the treated animal within 72 hours of the treatment should not be used in food. The animal should not be slaughtered for food within 5 days of the treatment.
Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of benzathine penicillin + procaine penicillin powder for injection. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.
Side effects of benzathine penicillin + procaine penicillin include but are not limited to mild soreness, allergic reaction. In the case of an allergic reaction, administer epinephrine 1:1000.
