Do NOT use provitam (multi-vitamin) syrups if:
- You have an allergy to any of the ingredients, this may cause severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); feeling of swelling of the entire body; numbness or tingling of the skin.
The dose of multivitamin syrup during pregnancy or breastfeeding may need to be different. Some vitamins and minerals can harm an unborn baby if taken in large doses. You may need to use a prenatal vitamin specially formulated for pregnant women. Multivitamins can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. The usual dose for adults is 1 capsule daily.
Multivitamins can interact with certain medications, or affect how medications work in your body. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with provitam (multi-vitamin) syrups.
