It is indicated for the treatment of conjunctivitis and other superficial ocular infections. This drug is also used as an adjuvant in systemic sulfonamide therapy of trachoma.
Sulfacetamide Sodium is a sulfonamide antibiotic. It works by inhibiting protein synthesis within the bacteria.

What is Sulfacetamide Sodium used for?
It's used to treat bacterial infections of the eyes, such as superficial ocular infections and corneal ulcers. It's also used to treat trachoma.
How are Sulfacetamide Sodium Eye Drops used?

What dose should be taken?
For corneal ulcers, the usual dose is 1-2 drops, given to the affected eye every 2 hours.
