General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Ringer Lactate infusion.
Ringer lactate infusion is a non-pyrogenic, sterile solution used for electrolyte replacement. It has no antimicrobial agents and hence not used to treat any microbial infections.
Ringer lactate is also used in the treatment of burns, gastrointestinal fluid loss and acute blood loss.
Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals some unwanted effects can occur from the use of ringer lactate infusion. Always consult a doctor or healthcare professional for medical advice before use.
Common side effects include: nausea, numbness, tingling sensation, allergic reaction, cardiac toxicity, chest pain, anxiety, confusion, diarrhea, altered heart rate, black and bloody stools, muscle weakness, muscle paralysis, stomach pain, stomach swelling, vomiting, and weakness.
Seek medical attention if any adverse effects occur.

Do NOT use ringer lactate infusions if:
- You have kidney failure, because it contains potassium and may lead to hyperkalemia, or high potassium levels;
- You are hypersensitive and have allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis and anaphylactic reactions;
- You have liver disease;
- People with lactic acidosis or alkalosis should also not be given lactated ringers, which can change the electrolyte balance in the body.
Over dosage, application frequency, and treatment duration of lactated ringer infusions should not be exceeded.
Patients with congestive heart failure and edema due to sodium overload should also not receive lactated ringer’s, which may increase edema.
Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with ringer lactate infusions.
