Moxifloxacin Injection is an antibiotic drug used to treat many types of bacterial infections, such as infections of the lungs (bronchitis, pneumonia), intra-abdominal infections, and infections of the skin and soft tissue. This drug is also used in the treatment and prevention of pneumonic and septicemic plague.

Moxifloxacin is classified as a broad-spectrum quinolone antibiotic. It works by inhibiting DNA synthesis within the bacteria.

This injection has been manufactured as a sterile, single-dose container for intravenous administration.

The usual dose is 400mg, given once per day. The duration of treatment is 7-21 days, depending on the severity and type of infection.
