Cloxacillin Sodium for Injection is an antibiotic used to treat certain types of bacterial infections. It is indicated for the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections caused by beta-lactamase-producing staphylococci. This drug is also used to treat infections like endocarditis, septicemia, and osteomyelitis.
Cloxacillin Sodium is classified as a penicillin antibiotic. It is typically reserved for use against staphylococci that produce beta-lactamase. Cloxacillin shows bactericidal action and works by inhibiting the third and last stages of bacterial cell wall synthesis.
