BENEFITS OF THORACOLUMBAR BRACE
- Features an adjustable structure for correct support;
- Specially designed to be incredibly lightweight, which ensures maximum comfort.
USAGE
- Carefully move to one side of the bed by using your arms and legs to move your hips over or by having a helper pull the sheet under you over to one side. Avoid twisting and moving your back, try to keep it straight;
- Roll to your side slowly, away from the edge of the bed and almost onto your stomach. Try to keep your back straight during this step;
- With the help of the person helping you, position the back half of the brace on your back, making sure the waist indentations on the inside of the brace are just above your hip bones and below your ribs;
- Carefully hold the brace in place and log-roll onto your back;
- Slowly and carefully position the front half of the brace. Fully tighten both straps at the bottom and the top of the brace on both sides;
- Before getting up, make sure the brace is aligned. Adjust it, if necessary;
- Slowly drop your legs to the side of the bed and propel yourself to a sitting-up position, then carefully raise yourself to a standing position.
PRECAUTIONS
- Always wear a T-shirt under the brace to protect your skin and absorb sweat;
- Unless instructed otherwise, always wear your brace as instructed by a qualified health professional;
- Always inspect your skin for irritation and reddened areas after wearing the brace. If it appears, you may have to readjust your brace.
