What is Apramycin?
Active Ingredients: Apramycin Sulfate
Apramycin Soluble Powder is an antibiotic drug that is used to treat various infections in poultry and livestock. It is indicated for the treatment of colibacillosis and salmonellosis in calves, colibacillosis in lambs, bacterial enteritis in pigs, and Escherichia coli septicemia in poultry.
Apramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that has been derived from Streptomyces tenebrous. It displays bactericidal activity against gram-negative bacteria, including Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Apramycin is not recommended for use to treat infections in laying birds, cattle, or sheep that produce milk for consumption.
This form of Apramycin has been manufactured as a water-soluble powder. It has low acute toxicity when taken orally. Apramycin is not for human use. This drug is intended for veterinary use only.

It's used to treat bacterial or parasitic infections such as colibacillosis and salmonellosis, bacterial enteritis in pigs, and E.coli septicemia in poultry.

How is Apramycin Soluble Powder used?
This medicine has been manufactured as a water-soluble powder, which is intended to be dissolved and administered orally. This product is typically added to drinking water. It is advised to withhold drinking water 2 hours before treatment unless the weather is hot. Medicated water should be discarded after use.
How should Apramycin Soluble Powder be stored?
This medication should be stored in a dark, dry location under 30°C.
Is there a withdrawal period after treatment with Apramycin?
The withdrawal time is 21 days for pigs and 7 days for chickens.
Dosage
How much Apramycin Soluble Powder should be given to poultry?
The usual dose is 250-500mg per 1L of drinking water. The duration of treatment is 5 days.
How much Apramycin Soluble Powder should be given to swine?
The usual dose is 12.5mg/kg per 1L of drinking water. The duration of treatment is 5 days.
