        Product Information

        General Information:
        AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Theophylline tablets.

        Theophylline Tablets are a bronchodilator. Theophylline works by relaxing muscles in the lungs and chest, and makes the lungs less sensitive to allergens and other causes of bronchospasm. Theophylline is used to prevent and treat wheezing, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing caused by asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and other lung diseases. Theophylline relaxes and opens air passages in the lungs, making it easier to breathe.

        Avoid drinks or foods that contain caffeine, such as coffee, tea, cola, and chocolate. They can increase the side effects of theophylline tablets. Both smoking and excessive caffeine consumption can alter the blood levels of theophylline, which may affect the dosing.

        Side Effects:
        As with all pharmaceuticals, some theophylline side effects can occur. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use.

        Common theophylline side effects include, but may not be limited to nausea/vomiting, stomach pain, headache, trouble sleeping, diarrhea, restlessness, shaking or increased urination.

        If any of the above-mentioned theophylline side effects last or get worse tell your doctor and seek medical attention.

        For a comprehensive list of all possible theophylline side effects, consult your doctor. If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please call your doctor immediately.

        Additional Information

        Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking theophylline tablets. If your condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call your doctor.

        Driving or operating machinery is okay if you are sure and aware how you might react to it because theophylline may cause restlessness and troubles in sleeping.

        • You are using large amount of other products that contain xanthine such as chocolate or caffeinated drinks;
        • You are taking dipyridamole intravenously, febuxostat, halothane or St. John’s wort.

        Use of theophylline tablets during pregnancy or breast feeding is recommended only when there are no alternatives and benefit outweighs risk. Consult your doctor or health care professional before taking theophylline.

        Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise.
